What Is the Daily Red Pokemon Game?

By the Daily Red Pokemon team · Last updated

Daily Red Pokemon is a daily browser battle where you face Red at the summit of Mt. Silver. Each day you get a team of six random level 100 Pokémon from Generations 1 through 3, and every player gets the same team on the same day. A new team arrives at local midnight. You have one official try per day.

Red's team is fixed: Pikachu, Espeon, Snorlax, Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise, all level 100. Pikachu holds a Light Ball and is first in Red's lineup. You play by tapping or clicking cards, and your progress is saved after every turn.

How Do You Play Daily Red Pokemon?

Each day you receive the same team of six level 100 Pokémon as every other player. Study your team, choose who leads, and beat Red's six Pokémon in one official battle.

How Does the Daily Battle Work?

  1. One try

You get one official try per day. Once the battle is over, the game shows a countdown to the next team.

  2. Saved every turn

Progress is saved after every turn. If you leave or reload in the middle of a battle, you come back to the same turn.

  3. Same team for everyone

  4. New team at midnight

The day changes at local midnight based on your device's time zone.

What Should You Check Before You Battle?

  1. Check your team

Tap each Pokémon card to see its four moves, held item, ability, nature and stats. Moves and items are random, so some sets will be awkward. The team's total base stats are always at least 2700.

  2. Pick your lead

Choose the Pokémon you want to send out first, then start the battle. Pikachu is first in Red's lineup.

  3. Practice first

Practice battles use a random team and are not recorded, so you can learn Red's team without risking your streak.

Which Pokémon Does Red Use?

  1. Fixed lineup

Red uses Pikachu, Espeon, Snorlax, Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise, all level 100.
